In this pattern I used two skeins of DK yarn in two different colors. You could definitely knit this in a worsted weight yarn. Two skeins of worsted weight yarn, 220 yards each should be sufficient.

For this cowl, you use one strand of any fingering weight sock yarn or fingering single ply yarn along with one strand of any lace weighted kid mohair and silk. If you don’t like knitting with mohair or are allergic to it, I would suggest knitting with two strands of fingering weight sock yarn.

You can make this shawl as large as you would like. You will need more yarn for sure. The lace edge will work as long as the number of stitches are divisible by 7.
