Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
An asymmetrical shawl with an unusual construction, inspired by Catherine Morland of Northanger Abbey. Catherine is full of imagination, and obsessed with gothic novels (which often gets her in trouble), so I wanted to design a shawl that was simple, but with a dash of bonkers! Featuring a band of brioche, a pretty border of lace, and with dram...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
When I was younger I loved mermaids (I still do!). The three main aesthetics when I used to doodle them was the tail, the seashell bra, and the hair, and so I chose a colour to represent each and turned my favourite mermaid into a shawl! Shaped like a traditional triangular shawl but knit sideways, there is an optional mini mermaid tail for add...

“You are a dragon. Be a dragon” - Olenna Tyrell
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A single skein shawl inspired by Emma. Asymmetrical in shape, we start with an easy and breezy garter stitch – because Emma starts off the novel with “very little to vex or distress her”. As the shawl progresses, along with Emma’s meddling of love lives, I’ve added some arrow lace because Emma fancies herself as a type of Cupid. We end with a p...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
An asymmetrical shawl inspired by the Dashwood sisters of Sense and Sensibility.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
’It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a knitter in possession of a good yarn stash, must be in want of a shawl.’
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Inspired by The Rocky Horror Picture Show, this crescent shawl features garter stitch which is broken up by a double feature of fishnet lace (Frank would love this!), stripes follow and flows into a pretty lace border. I’ve always loved RHPS, and I know that the film means something different to each of us, and I hope you enjoy my design.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A crescent shaped shawl inspired by Buttercup from The Princess Bride.
Knitting: Scarf
A scarf inspired by Wesley from The Princess Bride. The scarf is knit sideways, and is easy to modify to use all of your yarn. A very simple but pretty scarf. As written, the size is 188cm wide, and 39cm at its deepest point.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
A pair of bulky fingerless mitts designed especially for bulky handspun. I often get carried away and spin a little unevenly and thick without meaning to, which leaves me with less yardage than I hoped. But that does not mean the handspun isn’t lovely, it just changes my plans – in the words of the trolls from Frozen – “it’s a bit of a fixer up...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
A sock inspired by the Peaky Blinders. As a fan of the show, I wanted to create an easy and unisex sock with an industrial garter heel. Columns of garter stitch enclose a razor-blade lace motif, just as the Shelby brothers gather around their leader, Tommy. Worked in the magic loop method, the pattern is easily adaptable for DPN’s or small circ...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Inspired by H.G from Warehouse 13, these fingerless mitts feature simple lace and clean lines which you see a lot in her wardrobe. I think these would be something Helena would wear.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Master of Lightning is a semi-circular laceweight shawl inspired by the life of Nikola Tesla. The design features cables and lace, representing Tesla’s most famous creation and is finished by a border of rivets and pigeon wings.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Worked from the top down, this triangular shawl is inspired by the Firefly episode, ‘Out of Gas’.
