Finewool is originally a Finnish breed of sheep, but is quite frequent in Sweden as well. Finewool has thin fibres, it is soft, felts and dyes well.
Gotland sheep are a heritage breed of Sweden. Gotland fibres are usually grey, shiny, hard wearing and felts well. For this yarn I have picked the softest and lightest crossbreed Gotland fleeces to get the light grey colour.
All the wool for this yarn has been sheared fall 2017.
The fibre has been gently washed and carded and then spun into yarn at Solkustens Spinnverkstad, Sweden.
This yarn is also available in a 1-ply and a 2-ply version, and they are all available for purchase here
