These 438 yard skeins are dyed Ombre Style, with one color leading to the next color in the sequence.
The silk in the yarn makes it so comfortable when worn directly on the skin particularly on the neck as in the cowl.
Great idea for baby blankets too since the pure fibers are cozy on sensitive baby/child skin.

This is not a superwash, but it is a very durable yarn, because the silk adds tremendous strength to the merino.
Hand wash or machine was delicate.
