At first sight just a simple lace yarn, our Ckickadee is capable of considerably more than that. Owing to its fine-spun shine and special structure, it looks like a delicate string of tiny pearls. What is more, it is so stretchy that you get the impression that lycra or a similar elastic material has become mixed up among the woollen threads of the yarn. Nothing of the sort – the elasticity is altogether due to the quality of the wool and the unusually tenuous and open twist.
