100% Wool - Polwarth
plied

Polwarth sheep were originally developed in 1880 in Australia as a dual purpose meat and wool sheep. They are a cross of Merino and Lincoln sheep. This makes Polwarth sheep better suited to hills and damp than Merino. Despite this, their appearance and fleeces are very similar to Merino - so the wool is rather lovely!

The soft fine crimp fleece produces a very white and bulky yarn with a slight lustre.
