We all love the original multicolored DGY premium recycled silk but sometimes we all need some solid colors. Well, we finally heard your calls and now you have it! Solid colored silk yarn imported from Nepal in yummy enough to eat flavors! And did I mention how wonderfully soft it is?

What a stunning red, isn’t it? I am totally digging the sheen and the softness of this color. The great thing with this color is that you get a little bit of a multi-tonal variance in each ball. So, it’s a not a flat out red (like our Mulberry Silk Yarn in Red). If you like to be subtle in playing back a forth within a color hue or two this one is perfect.

100% Silk Handspun yarn in a rainbow of choices. The silk is so soft.

Each skein is 100g/80 yards of new recycled silk sari remnants. The new remnants are collected during the manufacturing process of saris and dyed to produce the most vibrant colors in silk.

See some ways to use the yarn by clicking on the “get inspiration” link on the header of this page!

This is a light worsted weight yarn that will yield about 4.5 sts per inch on size 5’s. Dry clean or hand wash. There are no dye lots so please order enough for your project now!

Make a difference and rethink your crafting experiences. This recycled silk sari yarn is handspun in women’s co-ops and act as income supplements to farming families in non-growing season in Nepal and India and made from remnants of new silk. So, not only are you getting an incredibly unique yarn, you’re creating jobs for others.

Sure, some of the yarn is a little uneven at times but remember, this isn’t spun up by machines in plants but in distant villages which give jobs to women who are paid fair wages and there is no child labor used.
