Emtothethird Sock is a base after my own heart. Sock knitting is what initially drew me to the craft of knitting. Now to be able to create my own palette of naturally dyed colors in a yarn spun of US wool is an incredible accomplishment for my little business!

A fingering weight base, Emtothethird Sock is comprised of a naturally colored mix of BFL & Corriedale wools blended with a small percentage of nylon to ensure longevity. The natural gray of the undyed skeins creates a wonderful base to dye on top of. A big thank you to Battenkill Fibers in Greenwich, NY for working with me on this base.

The yarn is non-superwash, therefore any item knit with it is encouraged to be hand washed and laid flat to dry.

Each skein is scoured, then rinsed, mordanted, rinsed again, and then left to dry completely before finally being dyed. This is a process that ensures the best colorfastness for the dyes on the yarn, however it is still encouraged to store finished items out of direct sunlight.
