The lustre of silk stands out in this yarn, but the hand feel is still that of cashmere. The silk content adds durability and helps reduce pilling.

This is definitely yarn you can wear next to your skin. This is a beautifully soft yarn which is worth trying if you or your knitting gift is for someone who is sensitive to wool.

Garments have slightly more drape than those made with pure cashmere. I would recommend it for most things, but hats may need something with a bit more elasticity around your head.

I swatched this yarn on 5mm needles. 4mm or 4.5mm will create a neat fabric, but anything smaller may make the fabric too tight (depending on your tension).

This yarn is hand dyed and each skein will vary ever so slightly from the other. I recommend if you are making a project which needs more than one skein, you alternate yarn from each skein in each row.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:
Hand wash in cool water.
Wash separately for first few washes as dye may run.
Do not tumble dry.
Dry flat in the shade.
