“A soft and lofty two-fold yarn, a mixture of wool and art silk, having a rich, lustrous appearance. Adapted for light weight sweater’s, scarfs, sportswear, etc.” (From an undated yarn sample book.)
“Used for light-weight sweaters, scarfs, sports wear, etc.” (Fleisher’s Knitting and Crocheting Manual 23rd ed.)
“Art silk” was typically rayon, and not actual silk, so this yarn was likely a blend of wool and rayon.
Vintage yarn from Fleisher’s. Limited information available, see comment tab.
