Carbonado is a smooth yarn wrapped in a silver halo. Made with a generous share of true black alpaca — the rarest variety available — this yarn has a beautiful drape and slight shine. Silver Gotland Sheep locks create subtle grey streaks and a halo (a slight fuzz around the yarn). The East Friesian Wool adds body and more black fiber. Carbonado is smooth but not silky. It’s suitable for probably everything but socks. Buttery soft and smooth. Perfect for garments that drape and next-to-skin wear.
