This yarn can be laundered in the washer/dryer and will soften with use.

This hemp yarn was handspun in Nepal and has a natural and rustic apeal. It is tough and fibrous, making it especially well suited for projects like washcloths/scrubbies, dishcloths, bags, jewelry, hammocks, beach hats, baskets, etc. Hemp fiber is very durable and holds its shape well.

Please note: As this yarn was spun from hemp fiber, it may have a slight odor. The smell does tend to lessen considerably after washing. If using it for a project that doesn’t allow for rinsing of the fiber prior to use or the object after creation, you may want to take this into account.
