This lavish angora and wool blend yarn is from our own German angora rabbits and flock of Merino sheep. It is organic, handspun and naturally dyed by the women of Handspun Hope. The large array of colors have been achieved by years of experimenting and dyeing with primarily local Rwandan plants. All dyes have been tested and are colorfast.

This project gives over 120 women, most of them widows and orphaned survivors of the Genocide, dignified employment. Handspun Hope is a certified member of the Fair Trade Federation, which guarantees fair wages and good working conditions for the artisans.
