Our 10/2 yarn is GOOD for knitting ethnographic Estonian mittens and gloves either with textured stitch patterns or stranded patterns. It is also suitable for knitting traditional Estonian hosiery.

All of our yarns were selected by the authors of our books and have their recommendation.

Thinking of the knitter we offer this yarn in 50g skeins, so that knitting stranded patterns won’t leave you with large pile of leftovers.

We recommend using 1.25 mm (US 0000) needles. The outcome will be authentic and similar to old Estonian knits. This wool dyes well with suitable wool dyes.

Textured stitch women’s gloves will require one skein of this yarn; stranded mittens will require one skein of base color and less for a contrast color.

Taanis toodetud Uus-Meremaa tallevillast kahekordne peenike kraaslõng (oluliselt peenem kui meie 8/2) on sobiv väga tihedakirjaliste Eesti etnograafiliste vikkel- ja kirikinnaste kudumiseks (näiteks Muhu ja Mulgi kindad). Soovitame kasutada vardaid nr 1,25 või nr 1. Kuna tegemist on tallevillaga, on tulemus pehmema moega kui meie pakutavate teiste lõngade puhul.
