Amigo Giga is an incredibly soft and airy yarn quality made from HB Acrylic. HB stands for high-bulk and describes a production technique where steam and pressure make the acrylic fibers contract and curl to make them more voluminous. The result is an even lighter and airier acrylic which is pleasant to wear.

It’s both easy and fast to work with Amigo Giga. The yarn has a lot of volume and is wound in large, chunky skeins of 150 g (5.3 oz). Knit with a US size 13 needle or an M/13 crochet hook (9 mm) to see quick results in your work. The chunky yarn is amazing to work with for beginners since the individual stitches are so large that it’s easy to notice and correct mistakes. Amigo Giga is machine washable and easy to maintain. The thickness of the yarn lends itself to projects like pillows and blankets or things like chunky sweaters, soft hats and other accessories. It’s also a great yarn to use if you want to avoid animal fibers. You should also take a look at our other Amigo yarns.
