This is a great yarn for socks, shawls and baby wear, with 75% wool and 25% nylon for strength. Soft and smooshy, in bright semi solid and lightly variegated shades, this yarn is a great staple for any stash.

Colourways are named after women who throughout history have shown strength, colour, verve and determination in their chosen fields.

The base yarn I was using for the Les Femmes Sock has been discontinued. The early skeins are 75/25 wool nylon - 440yds to 100g. The new version is 75/25 superwash wool/nylon, and yields 450yds to 100g. The new yarns will be clearly marked ‘superwash’ on the yarn tag.
