Captiva: Cotton DK Yarn
When I decided to hand-dye cotton, my Captiva base is exactly what I was looking for in a cotton yarn. Captiva has a wrap, which allows it to hold its shape, provides an interesting texture, and has lovely stitch definition. It’s soft, solid and has a little tooth. Its perfect for a beach sweater, baby items, and accessories. This yarn was used in KittyBea’s Abbe Pullover knitting pattern.

KittyBea, Yarns by the Sea is a new Collection of coastal inspired colorways. Inspiration is taken from scenic beaches, coastal landmarks, and local wildlife- including gorgeous shells found whilst beachcombing. The first location of inspiration is (naturally): Florida!
More colorways will be added as this collection grows. We are excited to now offer plant-based yarns, like Cotton and Cotton/Linen blends. These fibers offer different wearability and applications. Not just warm weather fibers, these are also perfect for creating baby items, like garments, blankets, and accessories.
