My Mir sock yarn is inspired by my love of space, and the 50th anniversary of the first human spaceflight on April 12, 2061. Mir was the first “permanent” installation in space, and the word means peace. Each colorway of Mir is inspired by a different beautiful astronomical phenomena! Perfect for hexipuffs.

This sock yarn is strong, durable, and hard-wearing. It is tightly and evenly spun with a smooth texture, which shows stitch definition perfectly! This is not as soft as a Merino, but is not coarse either. A good yarn for next to the skin for most people, or for outerwear for people with sensitive skin. It will become softer with washing and wearing. Also perfect for cables, lace, scarves, hats, gloves, etc!
