Silk mohair ITSUMO
Extra Baby Kid Mohair with a Silk Core
Extra Baby Kid Mohair“ is one of the highest grade mohair
It is characterized by its superb touch and feel, which is hard to believe that it is mohair.
Many people think that mohair is “prickly” or “sheds,” but we select rare South African mohair raw materials, which are not usually available in the market, and make them slowly and laboriously using our unique spinning machines, which have been improved upon to fully utilize their good qualities.
By spinning slowly and with low production efficiency, we have succeeded in making mohair as uniform in thickness as possible, which is difficult to achieve because the fibers tend to slide easily between each other. The beautiful knit of this mohair when knitted is incomparable to other mohair.
The atmosphere changes dramatically when two or more yarns are drawn together or with other yarns.
This yarn more delicate, so we recommend knitting with two or more yarns or with other yarns on No. 0 or larger lace needles.
This silk moheya is more beautiful in washing fresh water (about 30 degrees Celsius) than in hot water.
We recommend “hand washing” for knit products knitted with this yarn, though, because it is a high quality yarn.
Unlike wool or acrylic-infused mohair, this silk mohair does not shrink, so if you use the centrifugal force of the washing machine without friction, you can see the fur coming out from between the eyes.
Also, the type of washing machine, time, bath ratio, and course will affect the texture.
Please be careful not to knit loosely in a single strand, or knit long horizontal strips, as they are prone to deformation.
We recommend knitting a small swatch and test washing it as a test.
