100% British Jacobs yarn

Worsted spun to a Aran(UK)/worsted(US) weight in Keighley, Yorkshire by West Yorkshire Spinners. Then hand-dyed by myself here at Lifelong HQ in Scotland, using the natural dyes indigo and alkanet.

I dye these yarns in tiny batches of two skeins at a time. Natural dyeing means that no two skeins are exactly the same colour. When working on a garment, be sure to use two skeins at a time , two rows in one then two rows in the other, so that pooling is avoided. Knitted in this way, the different shades work together to create a complex, deep, gently marled colourway - unique to your garment. (You can see an example of this in the photos.) The different shades blend together beautifully.
