A new eco friendly option to our sock yarn range.
This yarn is born of Australian bred, non mulesed, Merino sheep of the finest quality. A long staple length of 19.5 micron (super fine Merino wool) and 15% of a new biodegradable nylon for added strength in toes and heels of your socks or elbows and hard wearing areas of sweaters and other garments.

The biodegradable nylon holds its tenacity for strength under normal wear and tear conditions but when added to landfill it breaks down in less than 5 years whereas the old nylon can take many decades to do the same.
