In Australia, we label this weight as 12ply but it is NOT a bulky yarn, just a standard worsted weight. Tweedly is a plied yarn, with two separate solid colours plied together for a tweedy look and nubby flecks giving extra colour and texture. It is perfect for jackets and other outdoor wear.
