Plied Yarns’ second weight of yarn, Penn Ave, is a two-ply, woolen-spun, worsted-weight yarn. The plies are hand-dyed separately and plied to create a semisolid marled yarn. The colors range from subtle marls created by plying similar colors to bold, barber pole–type marls.
This weight can achieve a variety of gauges—light worsted, worsted, aran, and even chunky—because of its lofty characteristics.
