t-shirt yarn = tarn = t-yarn is made from used t-shirts that are cut into stripes, which are then connected and wound in a ball. I usually crochet with it, using thick hand-made crochet hooks (some of them are presented in my Seven Rainbows gallery on Etsy from time to time) but it is possible to knit or even hand knit with it.

I prepare tarn in my prawelewe art studio and it gets used up every time I am done with the project the t-yarn was made for, thus it is not really offered for sale. Anyone is free to add this ’fibre’ to their projects as a reused t-shirt yarn.

In average European size M 100% cotton t-shirt makes about 25 metres and 25 grams of tarn.
