*hand dyed - hand carded - hand spun yarn - with a lot of texture and beautiful wensleydale locks

I prepare and card the fibers myself on my carder and blending board by layering a combination of different hand-dyed fibers to create a nicely textured and colorful yarn.

Some of the fibers I use are merino, superwash merino, silk, bamboo,ramia, flax, silk noil, alpaca, mohair, milk, cotton, sea grass, angelina, fabric flowers, beads and what ever else tickles my fancy at the time.

I hand-dye the fiber with professional acid dyes that are colorfast and washfast.
Dyes are safe and comply with Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

Each yarn is unique, handmade and no two skeins will be identical (even within the same dye lot)

If you are interested in a skein, which is not in stock, but on order -I can repeat skeins, some easily, others are more complicated, so there may be possible color and texture differences, and that is still true that every skein is a little different. It is beauty of hand spinning :-)

(Note: I do my best to make sure the color looks accurate, but, everyone’s monitor is different. So the color might look different in real life than it does on your computer. Hand-dyed colors vary from batch to batch, so please be sure to buy enough for your project.)

I prefer wool from sheep farms where the sheep graze on large grassy paddocks and are free from mulesing.
