Good Wool
One hundred percent Andean highland wool, Good Wool sparks our imaginations with every stitch! It comes in five colors grown by the sheep themselves, plus a rainbow of gorgeous hues dyed over these natural shades, creating beautifully heathered colors full of depth. From highland sheep who have adapted to the harsh conditions of the Peruvian Altiplano’s high altitudes, this wool is particularly durable, springy, warm, and softer than you may expect! The sheep that make Good Wool are well looked after, grazing in large open areas during the day, safely protected during cold nights, and sheared with the greatest care. Technically a sport weight, Good Wool has so much loft and bounce that we often knit it up as a light worsted (or DK) weight as well! This Oeko-Tex Certified yarn is buoyant and hardy, toasty and classic, and with 383 yards per skein at a reasonable price, it’s on our needles for pretty much everything from sweaters to blankets… So good!
PLEASE NOTE Because the undyed shades depend on sheeps’ coloring, colors may vary from lot to lot.
