Here is a description of each of the colorways in order of the photographs:

  1. Venice - This hand-painted yarn was inspired by Carnevale in Venice. When I was there some 20-plus years ago, I was astounded by the beauty of the costumes everyone wore during the Italian version of Mardi Gras. The main colors in this yarn are deep rose, mocha brown, thyme green, and aqua. It also contains smaller amounts of yellow, forest green, bright blue, lavender, and gold. I placed magenta speckles over all the lighter colors. This can be purchased at https://www.etsy.com/listing/526863966/.

  2. Autumn Mist - I am so excited about this colorway! It’s like autumn on steroids! The colors are poinsettia red, dark rose, bright orange, thyme green, rich brown, gold, gray, and teal. It can be found at https://www.etsy.com/listing/558267097/

  3. Earthen Vessel - I dyed these sock yarn skeins in a rich combination of earthy colors. The colors are orange, brown, darkest magenta, gold, mocha, and cream. The colors change about every 12 to 16 inches. There is quite a bit of a variegation within each color, and I speckled the yarn very lightly as well. You can find it at https://www.etsy.com/listing/540665407/.

  4. Mint Julep - Think of a refreshing mint julep on a hot summer day, and you’ll have this yarn in mind. I kettle dyed these skeins in a way that allows for some minor color variations. The green is lighter in some places and darker in others, which gives your finished item depth. There is also a very little bit of gold speckling as well.
