This yarn is a standard 4 ply fingering weight made of 100% Merino Wool. Each skein is 437 yds (400m) per 3.5oz (100g). We chose a fine 21-micron merino fiber in the yarn, so it has a soft handle and is not itchy or scratchy next to the skin. The wool has a natural elasticity that helps a merino garment to stretch yet return to its original shape and the natural properties of wool provide great insulation which helps regulate the body temperature in hot or cold climates. The wool is mulesing-free and is 100% animal fiber

Renata yarn is superwash treated. This means the fibers have been specially treated before being spun to enable it to be machine washable, therefore it will not ‘felt’ when washed. It is a great easy-care yarn.
