Karakul
from
solitude wool
This yarn comes from the fleeces of Karakul sheep and is traditionally used for rug making. Karakul sheep have dual coats, a hair outer coat and a down undercoat. This yarn felts like a dream. It has no elasticity, but is exceptionally strong. Great for bags, boots, rugs, and yurts. Available in three natural colors, the white is slightly finer than the darker colors. The black is a natural black, and is the heaviest of the three. This yarn is also available in semi-solid colors.
