This wool is from Shropshire sheep at Temple Hall Farm in Virginia. Shropshire is a hardy English breed, rare in the U.S. Double twist yarn looks and acts like a single. It’s fun, knits up fast, and is not a bit scratchy, but is not a hard wearing yarn. Great for fast-knit scarves and hats. Available in natural white, solids, and hand-paints.
coming soon! a Tunis double twist yarn that is very similar. Should have some available this Spring (2015)
