Meet Metamorphic … the newest yarn in the Spincycle family! We are so incredibly excited about this gorgeous, small-batch, DK weight sweater yarn. It’s very lofty and rustic with lots of texture, much like a handspun yarn. As you look closely at your stitches, you’ll see a spectrum of color blended in with the overall background colors of grey or black.

• What is our “recycled wool,” you may ask? Let us tell ya! Throughout several stages of the milling process, our machines shed a little “waste” fiber, or tiny bits that are un-spinnable. It began to add up around here, so we worked with Abundant Earth Fiber to develop a creative way to turn our waste fiber into something beautiful and usable. What we settled on was a blended mix of 50% mill leftovers from Dyed in the Wool and Dream State and 50% new grey or black wool to make this dynamic, tonal gorgeousness.

Because of the extremely small-batch nature of this yarn, it will only be available directly from us, and once the specific batch is gone, it’s gone! More than ever, we recommend buying the entire quantity needed for a project at once. Expect some slubs and a thick & thin texture!
