Bessie yarn is one of our own lovingly hand dyed yarns. Bessie is a 4ply/sock weight yarn which is 75% Superwash Blue Faced Leicester and 25% Nylon. Blue Faced Leicester is a gorgeously soft yarn but has the advantage of being super strong. The superwash element of the yarn takes colour very well and makes the shade ‘pop’. The added nylon content gives the yarn extra strength so this yarn is perfect for socks but we also like using it for mittens, cardis and thicker lace projects.
