Ghyll is a 100% Shearling Lancashire Lonk Yarn from the Lune Valley, Lancashire.

This single breed, one flock yarn was raised on the slopes of Clougha Pike in the Forest of Bowland on 400 acres of typical Lancashire Moorland.

Grown Sheared and Spun in the UK

Ghyll is a 3 ply worsted spun yarn with a high twist creating a firm but bouncy yarn. Suitable for all types of knitting, it is especially suited to textured patterns, lace knitting and is even hardwearing enough for socks.

The 2016 clip, the first batch of yarn from this collaboration between Susan Crawford and Shepherd Jeffrey, was carefully hand sorted and selected for quality.

Available in a limited quantity of natural undyed plus 4 limited edition hand dyed shades dyed by Skein Queen, Old Maiden Aunt, Knitting Goddess and Countess Ablaze, this yarn is exclusively available in the #fubc shawl kit to raise funds for Lancashire Cancer Care.
