100% wool yarn from historic breeds of sheep (merino, cheviot and dorset) raised using 19th century farming methods on my small farm in Northwest Illinois. The colors are natural (not dyed) made from combining the fleeces of my white, gray, brown and black sheep. Colors available are oatmeal and gray. Great for using vintage patterns (especially socks!), for knitting at museum sites and historic reenactments, or for anyone who just wants to experience knitting as or foremothers did! The oatmeal dyes well and the gray dyes with an interesting heathery look.
