OUR COLLECTION OF DOMESTIC YARNS AND FIBERS
Made from premium Targhee fleece, grown in Montana

SWEET GRASS WOOL invites you to experience the luxury of 100% Montana grown wool yarn. Targhee Sheep are the producers of this premium fleece. Bred to inhabit Montana’s high mountains and rugged Eastern plains, the Targhee grows some of the whitest and softest wool to be found anywhere in the United States.

To make this exquisite wool available to you in a natural yarn, we found a woolen mill in Alberta, Canada. Our neighbors to the North provide a natural washing process which uses no chemicals and creates a healthy product. A small amount of the natural oils remain in the yarn, thus maintaining the natural beauty, strength and texture of the fibers. The mill uses a turn of the century Spinning Mule to make the premium spun yarns. Dyed yarns are hand dyed, each dye lot is unique.

Whether you knit, weave, crochet or spin with SWEET GRASS WOOL, we feel confident you will thoroughly enjoy the process as well as the finished product.
