Fivrel Norwegian Kid Mohair
Fivrel is a thin 1-ply yarn made of the softest, Norwegian kid mohair by Telespinn in Svartdal.
Fivrel is especially soft and is suited for scarfs, shawls and baby clothes.
Fivrel is spun of fiber from the two first shearings of Norwegian kid mohair goats.
As all our yarns the wool is washed with organic soap, and we only use organic spinning oil in the spinning prosess. The result is one of the most sustainable and eco-friendly yarns you get, without compromizing quality.
Fivrel is named after “butterfly” in Norwegian - there are lots of rare butterflies in the cultural landscape in Svartdal.
Around 650 meter per 100 grams. Wool wash 30 degrees Celsius, dry flat.
Fivrel is 80% Norwegian kid mohair and 20% merino.
We have around 40 different colors of Fivrel, all are hand dyed. We color the fiber before we the yarn is spun, which gives especially lively colors.
