Woollen spun, medium handle

A lovely autumn/winter sock yarn. It’s woollen spun in Yorkshire using 100% wool fleece from local Jacob sheep, and naturally dyed by Lorna in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

It has a medium handle, with a more rustic feel than the softer Corriedale Sock. It’s another no-plastic sock yarn and lovely a robust for an autumn/winter sock. Perfect for chilly walks or cosy evenings by the fire.

Jacob is a classic and traditional sock yarn, used for hundreds of years to create warm and robust garments.

The colours are built on top of the natural and grey fleeces, adding a moodier tone to the shades.

A slightly bulkier 4ply, edging closer to sport weight. It creates a wonderfully warm and thick sock fabric on 2.5-2.75mm needles.
