Montgomery was designed as a single origin small batch yarn by Jill Shepherd. It is woollen spun but with a high single and therefore ply twist. It is designed for colourwork knitting. The base fibre is Romney x Shetland cross, giving both softness and durability to the yarn. It is 100% wool, grown on the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales, spun in Ceredigion in Southwest Wales and hand-dyed in mid-Wales.
