Footsie-HT is a high-twist sock yarn, with a ‘beaded’ appearance which is much appreciated by some sock connoisseurs. The high twist results in a yarn with a lot of spring and bounce, resulting in amazing stitch definition, perfect for textured designs.

This yarn is great for lace socks, where the pattern is held open by the feet of the wearer - but not so highly recommended for lacy scarves or other ‘free hanging’ fabrics: due to the extreme bounce, it does not hold blocking quite so well as some other yarns. Note that the yardage is lower for this yarn that for the same weight of Footsie for the weight; this is because the high twist ‘eats’ length.

You will still be able to knit a pair of socks from a single skein - unless they’re intended for some particularly big feet! Also consider fingerless mitts; Marywarmers and Genmaicha would both be excellent in this yarn.
