persia/Alcaucil or archangel - have chosen Alcaucil with Archangel (this is a gorgeous colorway. I fought (friendly!) over this yarn with Kim at Tangled Yarns, with other people interested as well. Kim said I had better make something nice with it…so here it is Kim!)

14Feb2011 - Am close to the home stretch now…am doing 2nd pattern repeat for the lace edge. So far so good. Everyone at work seems impressed by the color combination, which is good too. I call it my pumpkin patch for the moment, as lace always doesn’t look great until blocked.

25Feb2011 - have 24 rows to go on the lace edging. Doing a row when I have time, hopefully will finish in the week. loving how it looks so far.

I have finished & blocked & am extremely happy with the results. Just gorgeous combination of colors, which I am surprised as I didn’t know how it would turn out.

Pattern is great, with a very easy to memorise pattern repeat. I just made sure that I used markers & did the counting, though I did tink back a couple of times due to accidently pulling the stitches of the needles. Only thing I discovered while I was checking my count was when I had finished my MC increase row the count in pattern said 198 sts ( for Malabrigo Sock choice) & I had 197 sts, & when I did the maths it was fine for the rest of pattern.
