9/9/10 DONE!!!!

9/8/10 The main 90 are DONE!!! The plan is to assemble the last four tomorrow night. All I have left to crochet on them is the flower and headpiece for the Day of the Dead couple. Gonna go whip those out really quick so all I have to do is sew/glue stuff together tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow will also be the last of the daily updates :D

9/7/10 So far the Clerics, Pirates (both of them), Grim Reapers, Knights & Vampires are completely finished. I have to do the stitching on the weapons for the Vikings & Trojans and make one more ninja star (I left the ends too long and ran out of floss just shy of being able to make the 10th one). I’m hoping to have the main 90 done tomorrow night, leaving the two couples to finish the night of the 9th…exactly one month before the wedding. I can’t believe how close I am!

9/6/10 The eyes and other clay pieces are on! I just need to finish making the felt weapons and then they’ll be completely finished and ready for the big group photo :)

8/31/10 Phase 2 is complete! 90 of the amigurumis are fully assembled and just need mouths, eyes and weapons. I still need to finish the two couples but I wasn’t including them in my goal to have everything put together by the end of the month.

8/1/10 (Part 2) Finished the hair! I’m going to get started on the assembling and just make the pieces for the day of the dead couple here and there when I get the chance. Now comes the part I suck at…sewing!

8/1/10 I was hoping to have all of the crocheting done by yesterday but I didn’t quite make it. But I think I might be able to finish it today. All I have left to do are 7 1/2 piratecaptain hairs and the ninja stars. I still have 1 set of the day of the dead couple to do but since they were a last minute addition I wasn’t counting them in with the rest towards my goal. It’ll be nice to finally move on to the assembly. It’s so close I can almost taste it now.

7/13/10 All of the accessories are done except for the pirates and vikings (and that’s only because those are the ones not from the book and I’ve been too lazy to print the patterns for them). That and I’ve decided to add two more to the list. I’m going to be making the Day of the Dead Gal and Fellow for the couple we’re renting our transportation from. Instead of a limo we’re getting a hearse! The couple is very into Day of the Dead so I thought it would be nice to make them a pair.

5/31/10 (2am) All of the heads and bodies are done!!! Now on to all of the little extras that make them what they’re supposed to be :) I’ll try to get a pic later today.
