Knitted part

. Worked in the round (by simply adding front and back stitches)
. added 6 cm ( 20 rounds ) before decreases

.as I knew from previous knitters’ notes on Bergère de France french website that the straps were too long, I decided to knit them as long as per pattern but to sew them to the knitted part instead of the crocheted part. ➔ 2.5 mm needles - 120 rows (36cm)

Crocheted part

I’ve tried at least 10 times to crochet as per pattern but my double decreases were too ugly.
I simplified the pattern with single increases and decreases.
I crocheted the 2 parts together and seamed to close the round before sewing to the knitted part of the dress.

Hem (one year later)

I picked up as many stitches from the cast-on edge with 3,25 mm needle.
Knitted 34 rounds in stockinette (because the final dress was too short) and 6 rounds of garter stitch (to prevent from rolling)
and bound off not too loosely

Final length 77 cm from chest

Finally frogged the whole thing and made something else
