Not my fav yarn…. it splits a lot. But still soft and warm…

Knitting magic loop, two at a time. Must keep sanity…. Lots of yarn all over the place. I untangle at each turn of the needle else it will be completely a tangled mess!!

10/15 ack!!! Got through the whole of the color work on the sock and tried it on….. Have to rip the whole thing out!!! I was too tight!!!

10/16 to keep the floats from being to tight on the ends of the needle change.. I wrapped the unused color around the used color to keep it pinned to the sides.

10/17 RIPPPPPPPPPPP!!!! Got half way though the color work with sucessful streatch to the floats just to find out that the 88 stitches the pattern calls for does NOT fit over my calves!!! Eeep!!!! Whats the colloquial for calves?? (Thunder Thighs = ???? calves)

Will try doing this toe up and adjusting to my calves when I get to the colorwork to adjust to a 8 stich repeat color work pattern.

10/21 start toe up modified version
Mods as follows:
Started with co 10 st (I knew from previous socks that 10 st was good size for my heel, and I like the toe and heel to match st count)
Increased toe to pattern st ct for the 7 1/2-9 US size
After 8.25 in I started simple short row heel. Continued for 7in after heel.
Increased evenly two to three stitches after ever 2 to four row until reached a total of 96 st. A whole repeat more then pattern size stiches of 88 st.
Try on…. Fits my fat calves!!!!!
