I didn’t like knitting with this yarn at first. But, I was determined to have a silk scarf for the summer, and this yarn has been in my stash for long enough.

It knits as the name suggests. Like a straw. It is not rough on the hands but it is very stiff and slippery. I didn’t want to give up on this project just yet. I wound all my cakes back into skeins, and gave them a good soak. I wasn’t very gentle with the yarn as I read that it can take it. BIG change. It still has no give at all, but at least it is knittable for me. It is like knitting with a ribbon.

I had to try different edge stitches. The best results are with doing the kfb right on the first stitch (this gives quite a bit of stretch).
