Matched set with Cozy Cabled Hat.

Looking at the amount of yarn the designer used for this cowl plus the matching hat, I’ll have juuuuust enough yarn if I knit exactly the same. Since that sounds risky, and there’s no listed gauge (and I’m switching needle size), I’m making a narrower cowl.

CO with US10.5 -- my hands are killing me! Frogging and upping a few needle sizes. Also delaying first cable cross by 2 rows to make a neater edge.

CO 24 sts, German Twisted Cast On, left extra long tail.
1 row purl, 1 row knit, 1 row purl, then start cable repeat.
10.5 cable pattern repeats.
3 buttonholes on CO edge (crochet - J hook).

Buttons sewn on with white embroidery floss -- the yarn was too bulky, and a single ply of the yarn wasn’t strong enough.
