Went up a needle size to meet gauge. Making smallest size (34 1/2” chest).

Using magic loop for sleeves. Considered going two-at-a-time, but this is my first time trying magic loop so I wanted to keep it simpler.

Despite all the claims from the tech editor in the forum for this sweater, the directions to integrate the lace pattern into the sleeve increases was incredibly not intuitive for me, so I left the increases as stockinette stitch.

With the smallest size, there is only one pattern shift for the increases, and the pattern is written in such a way that everything lines up just fine without needing to worry about the shifts. The only difference is that the sleeve has a stockinette panel to match the body, rather than a full lace sleeve as the pattern intends. (See 3rd photo for underarm detail.)

Note: I just realized that the increase shift would be super intuitive if I didn’t have lace repeat markers. Since I do, I would have to shift them all 5 stitches over to the left to make the pattern shift work.
