Holding the worsted weight yarns (purple and green) doubled to approximate bulky yarn.

Using “alternate neck band” instructions (included).

Since my dad is fairly tall, I’m adding an extra half diamond to the argyle pattern (starting on chart row 10) to add length in pattern.

Not liking the slipped stitch edge for seaming -- confirming my preference of a garter selvedge stitch.
