The back isn’t as nice looking as I was hoping it would be. Additionally, I had some major laddering problems at the beginning, which I wasn’t sure (and I’m still not) if it was due to the cable or the intarsia, or some combination of the two. Either way, it took me two or three restarts to prevent them. This was my first project with either technique, so it’s likely that the laddering was caused by my inexperience with both.

This was supposed to be a Christmas scarf for my sister who started at UW-Lacrosse this year. Except it was only 13 inches long at Christmas…. oops! So it became an as-soon-as-I-finish-it present. Since I felt bad about it being so late, I modified this same pattern to make a matching earband by decreasing the pattern by 1/3. (I doubled the yarn, and cast on 6/8/6 red/grey/red with cables 2 on cable needle every 4 rows.)
