Notes

This is the second project I’ve crocheted. The first was a hat and cape for my daughters Monster High doll; Draculaura.

Until I get comfortable with crochet, I’m using cheaper yarn, and so Red Heart was selected for this project. I can’t wait to use some of my other yarns with my crochet projects.

I didn’t use a pattern, I just picked up my hook and started crocheting a beanie hat. Initially I did have to rip out a few rows. I imagine that wouldn’t have happened if I’d used a pattern.

With my other crafts; clothing design and jewelry making, I rarely follow patterns, so it’s no surprise that I’m not doing that with crochet.
