This was a fun project, completed in a few hours. Rather than knitting the bottom flap and sewing it, I knit the bottom flap back and forth, picking up a stitch on each side with a P2tog or SSK and then slipping the first stitch as I turned. When I got to the end, I stuffed the cat before grafting the last side closed with kitchener stitch. It looks fine and is a good solution if you don’t like sewing.
